We hold in our hearts a deep acknowledgement that our home and business are on the ancestral lands of the Pueblos and Núu-agha-tʉvʉ-pʉ̱ (Ute) peoples. We view this not just as a location, but as a relationship—one that we’re responsible for nurturing with care and humility.
Working with food and New Mexico ingredients is our way of tending to this relationship. It’s a privilege to offer mentorship to aspiring food entrepreneurs, to write a weekly column about preservation and cooking that includes native ingredients, and to direct resources toward community-led projects, including the ogapogehlandtax.org
Our ongoing pledge: to listen to this land, to honor its original stewards, and to use our hands and voices to help mend the fabric of our shared community, one meal, one recipe, and one story at a time.
